Finale : Real Cases

I, Mark Rose-Christie, the creator & owner of the tours, was told by my late sociology professor, to
always maintain a healthy balance between skepticism and mysticism. As a scientist, I really
should not believe in paranormal phenomena at all, and for a long time I was a skeptic about
several aspects of the paranormal. My skepticism has however diminished over time, especially
because of cases such as the one below (cases below are changed from time to time).

I’ve also come to accept the scientific possibilities that at least Replay ghosts (stone tape theory)
and Poltergeists (recurrent spontaneous PK) can exist, neither of which are ‘beings’.

The most convincing evidence for me to date, was when I was researching the Durban version of the tours. A lady owner of an old house wrote to me via the newspapers, telling me about a man dressed in khaki, with steel blue eyes and a moustache, who smoked a pipe, and who would appear in her lounge chair - but most of the time in her bedroom, which is at the back of the house, on the west side.

She seemed so convincing, that I then decided to investigate the story. I did this without her knowing, as I myself wanted to see if this case could be true. I called the deeds office, and traced all the previous owners. One of them told me that his uncle suffered 'shell-shock' during one of the wars, and lived with them several decades ago, at the very same house.

I told this previous owner nothing, and instead asked him to describe the man. His description matched perfectly. However, I became even more convinced the moment I asked him in which room his uncle slept. It was indeed in the same back room, on the west side.

With my curiosity piqued, I asked if he had any photo's of his uncle, and any other men who knew him. He did, but the photo's were black & white, and so the eye colour could not be seen. However this did not matter, as it was the facial features that were important. Also, several of the other men in the group photo's had moustaches, so this was going to be very interesting.

I then arranged a meeting between him and the lady storyteller, and asked him not to reveal which of the men in the photo's was his uncle. Laying the photo's out on a table, the lady took a quick glance at them, and singled out the correct man (the uncle) within seconds.

This is one of several convincing cases I have dealt with. There are a few more, which I shall post from time to time. The photo above, is another photo of the uncle, which was not shown to the lady at first. The photo below, is of the previous owner and lady storyteller (names withheld - serious researchers should approach me for contact details).
